Admin & config panel
74% of ops changes self-served · −18 eng tickets/week

The challenge
Every pricing change, feature flag toggle, or user permission update required an engineer to write a SQL query or push a config deploy. The ops team was filing 20–25 tickets per week for changes that had nothing to do with product — and engineers were spending Fridays clearing the backlog instead of building. Growth was making the problem worse: each new enterprise customer brought custom entitlement requests.
What we built
We built a full admin and config panel with granular role-based access. Ops can manage user entitlements, pricing plans, feature flags, and catalog data directly — with validation rules that prevent invalid states and a one-click rollback for any change. Engineers now only get involved when something genuinely requires code.
- User and org management: roles, feature flags, and bulk operations
- Product and pricing config: plans, limits, and feature toggles
- Catalog and operational data editable by ops with validation and rollback
- Dashboards for queue health and key operational metrics
Results
- 74% of routine ops changes now handled without engineering involvement
- −18 engineering tickets per week freed up for product work
- Config changes that used to take 2–3 days now ship in under 15 minutes
- Ops team onboarded 4 new enterprise accounts in Q3 without a single eng escalation
